PROJECT DETAILS:
The space when first site surveyed was an existing lounge. The plan was to knock down a wall which behind led to a dining room, and add a modern pitched roof structure onto the back of the property to form a lounge leading on to the rear garden with opening full height glazed doors.

Whilst the kitchen area was relatively large the door and window Positions, Linked with the request for a masculine stainless steel bank of appliances basically meant that along rear wall run, floating TV media wall and long extended island with breakfast seating is what we eventually came up with.

Andrew, the designer responsible for this kitchen is keen for symmetry and viewing the long hob run, tall stainless steel bank, Island from both sides and TV media wall, you will see that every elevation has its own symmetry and balance.

The design also disguised a beam across the ceiling by tying it together with the vertical column encasing the stainless steel tall bank of appliances.

The tall unit to the left is a pull out SieMatic wirework larder, for provisions, where as the tall 30cm to the right is an access cupboard for all the filtrations for the Gaggenau combi steam oven and water filter for the internal ice maker on the Vario cool freezer.

Silestone 3cm Stellar Quartz Worksurfaces were selected to bring a light sparkle and durability to the scheme.

With Seating for 4 incorporated with the overhang supported on a stainless steel square box section to tie in with the tall stainless steel appliance bank. Illumination was added to the underside, to give a warm glow to the central structure.

From the breakfast bar seating on the island the client can link his Media system and PC with the TV mounted within the media panel and operates his music catalogue and view cooking recipes whilst he prepares the meal for the night.

A Ultra modern lifestyle for a grown up family, the client just loves the flexibility, great worksurface space and uncluttered feel of the new Kitchen and Living Space.
